Routes and stations
In Spain, ALSA links Madrid, Andalusia, the north coast and many smaller towns. In Madrid, many ALSA long-distance buses use Estación Sur.
The Madrid to Tangier route leaves from Estación Sur and calls at Jaén, Granada and Malaga before Algeciras port. The bus crosses by ferry to Tangier port and ends at the ALSA terminal in Tangier. The trip takes about 15 hours.
In Morocco, ALSA runs city and suburban buses in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Khouribga, Rabat and Casablanca. Marrakech has an electric BRT line opened in 2016.
Tickets and fares
ALSA sells fares in levels. Basic is the cheapest. Flexible and Super Flexible cost more but allow more luggage and easier changes.
Each passenger may carry one small item in the cabin and one suitcase in the hold: up to 20, 25 or 30 kg depending on the fare. Extra bags cost from 5 EUR on domestic trips and from 10 EUR on international trips. Luggage insurance is about 1 EUR.
Supra is the premium class on some routes, with individual leather seats, Wi-Fi and a screen. Most ALSA coaches have air conditioning, toilets and power sockets.
How to book
Book on alsa.com or the ALSA app, or at station ticket desks. Choose the fare level carefully if you carry heavy bags.
Extras such as additional luggage can be added later in Manage tickets. Fares change, so check the price on the day you book.
