Routes and stations
The network is centred on France, with hubs in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Lille. International lines reach Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK and a few other countries.
Outside its own lines, the BlaBlaCar app also sells seats from partner bus companies, so not every bus you find there is a BlaBlaCar Bus coach. Check the operator name in the booking.
Tickets and fares
Fares are low and change with demand. Weekday off-peak trips are usually cheapest, and early booking helps.
Each passenger may bring two hand bags and one hold bag of up to 23 kg with a maximum total size of 200 cm. Extra hold bags cost a few euros and should be added before travel.
Change and cancellation fees depend on the fare and the time before departure. Read the conditions before paying.
How to book
Book in the BlaBlaCar app or website, or through SNCF Connect for French routes. You cannot buy a ticket on board.
Your ticket is a QR code in the app. Seats are assigned at random, and the seat number is sent about one hour before departure.
Tips for travellers
Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure, especially at large city stations.
Pets are not allowed, except guide and assistance dogs.
Families who want to sit together should board early and ask politely, since seats are random.
On international lines, carry your passport and visa. Long trips include short stops where you can pray or buy food.
Last checked: October 2026. Fares and timetables change, so confirm on the official website before you travel.
