Route and stations
The tram line runs about 10.6 km along Al Sufouh Road. Its 11 stations include Jumeirah Beach Residence 1 and 2, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Marina, Marina Towers, Mina Seyahi, Media City, Palm Jumeirah, Knowledge Village and Al Sufouh.
There are two interchanges with the Dubai Metro Red Line: at Jumeirah Lakes Towers (DMCC metro station) and at Dubai Marina (Sobha Realty metro station). At the Palm Jumeirah stop you can walk to the Palm Monorail.
Tickets and fares
The tram has a flat fare of AED 3 per trip with a nol card, whatever the distance. With a Red paper ticket a trip costs AED 4. Gold class costs more. A metro day pass also covers the tram.
Fares are set by the RTA and can change.
How to pay
Use the same nol card as the Dubai Metro and buses. Buy or top up at ticket machines at tram stations or metro stations.
Tap your card on the validator on the platform before you board and again when you leave.
Tips for travellers
Each tram has a Gold section and a section for women and children.
On Sundays the tram starts at about 9 am. On other days it runs from about 6 am to 1 am.
The same rules as the metro apply: no eating or drinking on board. Cross the tracks only at marked crossings and watch for trams, which run on the street.
Last checked: October 2026. Fares and timetables change, so confirm on the official website before you travel.
