Route and stations
Trains run from MiamiCentral in downtown Miami via Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach to Orlando. The Orlando station is at Orlando International Airport (MCO), next to Terminal C. You do not need to be flying to use it.
Miami to Orlando takes about three and a half hours. Trains reach up to 130 mph between West Palm Beach and Orlando, but run slower in South Florida. New stations are planned at Stuart and at Cocoa for the Space Coast and Port Canaveral.
Tickets and fares
There are two classes. SMART is standard. PREMIUM has roomier seats, free snacks and drinks, and station lounges.
Since September 2026, trips to or from Orlando are sold as SAVER (cheapest, SMART only, no changes), SELECT (changes for a fee, 75% credit if cancelled) and FLEX (free cancellation with full refund). At the Orlando launch in 2023, fares started at $79 in SMART and $149 in PREMIUM one way. Prices vary by date and demand, so check before booking.
How to book
Book on gobrightline.com or in the Brightline app and show the QR code at the gate. Short South Florida trips such as Miami to Fort Lauderdale are much cheaper than the full trip to Orlando.
Luggage depends on fare: SAVER includes one carry-on and a personal item, SELECT two carry-ons and a personal item, and FLEX adds one large bag. FLEX also includes one free shuttle ride to Miami or Fort Lauderdale airport.
Tips for travellers
At Orlando Airport you can transfer to your flight, car rental or hotel shuttle. Allow time to walk between the station and the terminals.
Groups and families should look for group discounts and children's fares on the official site.
Brightline's parent companies filed for Chapter 11 in September 2026 to restructure debt. The train operating company was not part of the filing and service continues, but check the official site for any changes.
Last checked: October 2026. Fares and timetables change, so confirm on the official website before you travel.
