Routes and stations
Al Atlas trains link Casablanca and Rabat with Marrakech, Fes, Meknes and Oujda, and Tangier with Meknes and Fes. In Rabat, classic trains use Rabat Ville; in Casablanca, Casa Voyageurs is the main hub.
The airport shuttle runs about hourly from Mohammed V International Airport (basement of Terminal 1) to central Casablanca in about an hour.
Night trains
A night train runs Tangier–Marrakech, leaving late evening and arriving the next morning. It has four-berth first-class couchettes, at about MAD 370–375, and seats.
A night service also runs from Casablanca to Oujda. Couchettes cannot be booked on the ONCF website; buy them at a station or through an agency.
Tickets and fares
Fares depend on demand and class. Tangier–Marrakech by day costs about MAD 186–338 in second class and MAD 249–472 in first. Children aged 4–10 pay reduced fares on classic trains, and under-4s travel free.
Prices change, so check the ONCF site for your date.
How to book
Book seats on the ONCF Voyages website up to three months ahead, or at station ticket offices. Some foreign cards are declined online; agencies such as 12Go and Bookaway also sell tickets.
Al Atlas seats are reserved, and first class can sell out at busy times.
Tips for travellers
Bring a warm layer for winter night trains and some cash for the trolley service. For Agadir and Essaouira, Supratours buses connect from Marrakech station.
Check you have booked a direct train on Fes–Marrakech, as some options require changes.
