Routes and stations
Trains run between Tangier and Casablanca with stops at Kenitra and Rabat Agdal. Only the 186 km Tangier–Kenitra section is dedicated high-speed track; south of Kenitra trains use upgraded conventional lines.
In Rabat, Al Boraq uses Rabat Agdal, not Rabat Ville. In Casablanca it uses Casa Voyageurs, where you can change for Marrakech and other cities.
Tickets and fares
Prices vary with demand. Tangier–Casablanca costs roughly MAD 99–224 in second class and MAD 129–292 in first class. First class is often only slightly more expensive.
Three fare types exist: Promo (cheapest, no changes or refunds), Semi-Flex (one free change) and Flex (unlimited changes, refundable). Children pay a fixed MAD 50 in 2nd or MAD 80 in 1st; under-4s without a seat travel free.
How to book
Book on the ONCF Voyages website or at station ticket offices. Sales open up to three months ahead, and early tickets are cheaper.
Some non-Moroccan cards are rejected online; agencies such as 12Go also sell tickets. ONCF customer service is on 2255.
Tips for travellers
Trains are double-deck Alstom units with first and second class, a café-bar, power sockets and Wi-Fi. First-class passengers can use Al Boraq station lounges.
Railcards give 15–30% off for young people, students and seniors. A Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed extension is under construction and expected around 2029–2030.
The fleet has 12 Alstom Euroduplex trainsets, each with two first-class coaches, five second-class coaches and a catering coach, carrying up to 533 passengers. ONCF has also ordered 18 new Avelia Horizon trains, with deliveries from 2027.
